Week 1 reflection
Look back on Week 1: what surprised you, what worked, and what you would now prompt differently.
Day 6 of Prompting Path, a 30-day AI course with one 10-minute lesson and one real task a day. Day 0 to Day 8 are free.
The lesson
You've covered the four ingredients of a prompt, free-range experimenting, showing instead of telling, chain-of-thought, and knowing when AI gets it wrong. That's already more than most people who use AI daily ever learn.
Today is a no-new-content day. The goal is to consolidate, and consolidation is not admin, it's where a week of poking around turns into something you actually own. So before the task, sit with these for a minute each:
- What surprised you most this week? Not what worked, what surprised you. Surprise is the signature of a real update to how you thought this stuff worked.
- Where did it feel like magic, and where did it fall flat? Look at the two lists. The flat moments are usually tasks where you gave it three words and expected mind-reading. What does that tell you?
- Compare your Day 1 prompt to whatever you wrote yesterday. Read them side by side. That gap opened in five days. Where might it be after thirty?
- What did you believe about AI a week ago that you'd now put differently? Say it in one sentence. "I thought X, now I think Y."
Nobody is grading this. But the people who get genuinely good at AI are the ones who notice what they're learning while they learn it, and who keep experimenting on the strength of it.

Today's task is in the app
Every day ends with a small, real task and a tip, and they live in the app. Pop in your email once and every free day opens up, with your progress saved as you go. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot, and the free tiers are enough.
